What happened to the LOVE?

There are times folk must learn how to be more like JESUS and less like Judas…The betrayer of Christ.

When Abraham pleaded with Christ not to destroy the evil places where his nephew Lot, and Lot’s family lived, even he sought and asked with a compassionate mind. 50 to 10, is the story. My point? Quite simple. Stop picking and choosing who God loves. We know exactly what sin is and making assumptions that folk are going to continue with that old way of ostracizing people based on, not who they love, but who they’re sexing, ain’t ya business. The situation leading up to this is in the BIBLE too.

Before we as people pick situations to immerse our personal biases as a people, think.

When I call people out, I must be mindful of the LOVE GOD graces me with…

Take for instance, words…In a world consumed with spontaneous assumption that: It’s cool…Like okay, to use a word that describes an object is SO cool. Yet, when describing a living, breathing, talking, praying, active person who just happens to be someone who lives in woodholly or maybe movie personnels list of actors and actresses on film…Tubefillers is what I like to use in this instance. They’re people too,Right?

Well I don’t know how people who read their BIBLE can even bring themselves to call an actor or singer- an entertaining entity an idol or icon. Would you believe this labeling bothers me more than sex!

My problem? There are wars to be won in the name of GOD, yet people want to pick and choose what to cast out in the name of GOD. Where is the discerning? The discrepancy between religion, Christ and Christianity and that veil is just as alarming when utilizing words for a hidden agenda.

Why doesn’t Spiritual discerning folk work on the one thing that will surely place them in Sheol.

I am not certain why people are in other people’s pastures with assumptions.

God is a God of love…Who created heaven and earth and everything in between…So, why is it that more and more feel like they do? Probably’cause, the whip being used on Toby, wouldn’t serve the same punishment. That is unless you’re on the same level.

Sin is sin and no one sin is greater than the other, remember? Also,on that I will fight you from the womb to the tomb anyway and any day.

Whatever happened to the times when people didn’t speak of such vile and vulgar things so openly is a trip to me! My precious loving, spiritual grandmother gave me the answer I sought on this particular practice and, even despite her demise, her words are ever truer today. I asked many older folks from generations past and guess what? You’re wrong.

In the Book of James, the little pink fellow was given an analogy that I have come to appreciate and love.  What we as people need to do is to learn to love more and begin judging less.

All people are sinners yet we continue to stray further away from God’s Omnipotent Design and if we as a people continue on such a vile and destructive path by utilizing hate of their sin to cast down a particular sect of people, we need and update/upgrade.

I would rather extend love than hate

Hate the sin within not the love

Don’t get discouraged nor sidetracked by the current agenda which is not hidden to keep you off balanced. Teach me thine ways Oh LORD that are pleasing to you, in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Word prompt- Fish

Here I sit with bits and pieces of meals where #fish is the meat of the day. . .hmmm, let me see, there’s:  fish and grits, fish and an ear of corn, fish and potatoes, fish and bread, fish and hushpuppies, baked fish, broiled fish, grilled fish and my personal favorite is fried fish.  Some of my favorite meals have been fried-so please don’t judge me on that fact, okay?  Okay.  I do love fried fish served with some cheese and butter grits like you wouldn’t believe.  I can literally satisfy my palette with fish served every single day.  And no it would not be wise to  have fried fish every day; nor, unfortunately, is it okay to have those hot buttered cheese grits served on the daily as well.

Now that I think about it a little more. . .Jesus fed the people in the wilderness;  yep, He served fish and bread.  After the prayer, the people ate until they were full; and afterwards there was still a substantial amount left to fill 12 baskets full of leftovers.  Honestly, I can’t but wonder if the people had sardines or not?  Well, I certainly don’t think the fish was fried. . .Another on of my favorite things to include with hot fried fish is biscuits (buttermilk) and cane syrup.  I can definitely do some serious damage to this kind of meal on a plate.  I would seriously get some hand to mouth action done for sure!

If I can keep my mind focused long enough and stop thinking about the food. . .  Maybe it would be therapeutic for me to purchase a gigantic fish aquarium to house about 4 to 5 goldfish.  The large goldfish are absolutely beautiful whether in an aquarium or outside in a private pool.  The only problem I would have is trying to keep the aquarium clean. . .or at least I think I would have a problem with keeping it clean.  It has been closer to 20 years or better since I’ve had the pleasure of cleaning one.  And honestly, once was enough for me.

The writing prompt is #fish. . .  as a young child,  my parents would often take us (siblings and self) on fishing trips in Pensacola, Florida.  This was such a long time ago now. . .almost 35 years ago.  Yet I am still able to recall the memory as if it were just yesterday.  During the early morning hours on the bridge (6am)-there was often a great deal of fog to contend with. In my opinion, the smell of the salt in the ocean wa often stronger during the early morning hours.  Whenever my parents would take us (siblings and I) on fishing trips the one thing I learned?  Always be ready to bait your own hook.  If you’re fishing in salt water, it’s okay to use a piece of cut up fish to bait your hook with.  Now. . .if you’re doing freshwater fishing, you can use an earthworm to bait your hook.
